I never knew
I never seemed to realize
That someone could be as nice as you
You are someone I idolize
You’re a person that’s filled with grace
A book filled with knowledge
A noticeable face
You’re a promise that’s easy to keep
A game that’s entertaining
A challenge I want to meet
A shelter for when it’s raining
You’re a heart filled with love
A brain that’s so smart
You’re higher than above
You’re anew begging, a new start
You’re a memory to hold
The best friend ever
A heart made of gold
A mind so cleaver
You’re a life saver
So easy to talk to
A good and kind neighbor
You’re always you
You put the hope in hopeful
The strong in stronger
And the beauty in beautiful
You are a good person
And I can’t see why
Anyone would not pick you to idolize.

Tamisha's Essay
When I was younger someone that I looked up to once asked me " Tanisha, what would y like to bewhen you grow up?" This question got me thinking I didn't really know whatI wanted to be, but i knew one thing, i wanted to be successfull. In to min things.
Growing up I seen people all the time thathad jobs but they seemed not to be happy. What I wanted for myself was to get a good education so that I could get a good paying job, but most importantly a job that i love to do. What i came to know is that I love to help people that are going through tough times. My options was being a social worker, counsler, therapist, case manager or eve a psychologit. In most of these jovs there are not enough money. My options was limited to be successfull in making money or o be succesful inhaving a job that I lobe to do. I decided to to do my own research. What I found out is that money dosent make a person but the valuable things that a person does ca gibe them a sense of joy. Have you ever noticed that when you gelp someone out and they give you a smile and a thank you. You get als warm inside. How about just lending a ear, or a shoulder to cry on. When iI have money it doesnt even last but friendship and love can last for a lifetime.
Lastly being successful means taking care of myself before i can take care of anything else. I have to make sure I'm okay. What I've noticed is that when im feeling depressed, its hard for me to listen to other people or smile. Takng care of myself means getting out of bed every morning, eating breakfast, taking a shower and doing something nice for me. I love to help people but how can i be of help if I can't help myself.
In conclusion being a service to others and keeping myself healthy is what it means to be successful to me. Success is not what you make it but the valuable things you do is what I came to realize.
